An extremely talented cocktail and wedding pianist, Clive Swan’s musical background spans several decades

Before offering his services as a wedding and cocktail pianist, Clive trained as a musician at the London College of Music. Clive then spent most of his career in television production, working on Light Entertainment shows and children’s programmes with the BBC.

He has worked on numerous musical shows with many well known artists, including Petula Clark, Val Doonican, Olivia Newton John, Lulu and the Two Ronnies.

Situation comedies including Porridge, The Good Life, Are You Being Served? and Rings on their Fingers are all part of Clive’s impressive resume.

He was a member of the team that created the first BBC1 Saturday morning show – Multi-Coloured Swap Shop with Noel Edmonds. More recently he worked as a Senior Programme Manager for Thames Television on the London regional news programme, Thames News.

Since Thames Television lost their franchise in 1992, Clive has spread his wings, focussing on new opportunities to provide a wide range of musical services. These include work as a cocktail and wedding pianist, repertoire work with singers preparing for auditions and musical theatre performances.

As a Musical Director, his work covers a diverse range of productions, including musicals and professional pantomime seasons, as well as numerous amateur theatre shows.

Clive runs his own theatre company, Night People Productions, which has been performing throughout the UK since 1993 with their own special blend of compilation shows, featuring the music of Stephen Sondheim, George Gershwin, Kander & Ebb, Noel Coward and Cole Porter, to name but a few. Away from Night People, Clive works as a cocktail and wedding pianist whose beautiful music can be heard across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and North London.
